In our common impression, lung cancer is called the "senile disease" of people aged 60 to 70, or the "patent" of men who love to smoke, but the reality tells us that the age of lung cancer has shown a younger trend, especially young women in their 20s and 30s, and no smoking history, is more likely to develop lung cancer.
According to medical institutions, the incidence of lung cancer in China is increasing at an annual rate of 26.9 percent, and the number of lung cancer patients has doubled every 10 to 15 years in recent decades. The incidence of lung cancer is younger and more feminine. Lung cancer in women is now second only to breast cancer, but the death rate is still the first.
According to the statistics of 10,700 lung cancer patients in the oncology and thoracic Surgery Department of the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences in the past three years, there were 302 cases under the age of 40 and 37 cases under the age of 30, and the male-female ratio under the age of 40 was 1:1.18 (138: 164), the ratio of males to females under 30 years of age was 1:1.84 (13:24). It is not difficult to find that the number of female lung cancer patients is more than that of men, and the younger the age, the higher the proportion of female lung cancer. Although the overall number of male lung cancer patients has been more than female lung cancer patients, but this difference is significantly reduced, has been declining year by year, the number of female lung cancer is catching up with the trend of male. Most women think that being young and not smoking is no reason to get lung cancer, but what causes young women to get lung cancer? What good method can prevent it in advance?
The incidence of cancer is comprehensive, not only caused by any one factor, lung cancer is more. The occurrence of lung cancer is the result of long-term continuous interaction between internal and external causes, among which the external causes are largely attributed to the environmental factors accompanying our work and life, such as:
1. Exposure to second-hand and third-hand smoke
Women are not the main victims of first - and third-hand smoke, but they are. One study found that people who breathe more than 15 minutes of second-hand smoke a day are just as likely to develop lung cancer as smokers. Estrogen makes women more sensitive to carcinogens in tobacco than men. In addition, viral infection is also an important factor contributing to the continued increase in lung cancer rates in women despite low smoking rates.
2. Influence of indoor air pollution
Indoor air pollution caused by household lampblack or unit decoration. Women generally spend more time indoors than men, and are therefore exposed to more harmful indoor gases, increasing their risk of lung cancer.
3. Invasion of atmospheric haze
The World Health Organization has specifically classified smog as a Group 1 carcinogen. Although there is still a lack of direct evidence between haze and the incidence of lung cancer, but the harmful substances in haze damage to the lung is certain, long-term high intensity damage is bound to cause lung damage, increase the risk of cancer.
Part of the answer is personal. For example:
A family history of tumor; A history of chronic lung inflammation or tuberculosis; Chronic low mood and high stress; A poor lifestyle and a history of malignancy are also risk factors for developing lung cancer in young women.
Prevention of cancer awareness must be improved, regular physical examination should pay attention to! Unlike older patients with smoking-related lung cancer, some young women with lung cancer usually have cancer that has already spread by the time they see a doctor, and thus have no chance of being cured by surgery. Even in patients who were able to undergo surgery before, the risk of lymph node or distant metastasis was significantly higher than in elderly patients without timely treatment. So for all young women and other patients with related lung function problems:
1. Regular screening and early treatment
The earlier the lung cancer is detected, the better the treatment effect will be. For high-risk groups of lung cancer, it is strongly recommended to go to cancer hospital for cancer prevention physical examination every year, so as to reduce the risk of lung cancer.
2, outdoor haze prevention, reduce going out
Surgical treatment is not the fundamental solution to the problem. Preventive measures in daily life are very important. Outdoor awareness should be raised to prevent haze, minimize outdoor activities when pollution is serious, and be sure to wear a mask when going out.
3. Indoor air is clean and healthy
Reduce pollution in the kitchen environment. Xueshan recommends that you install efficient air purifiers in indoor Spaces where you stay for a long time, such as living rooms, bedrooms and offices, so as to reduce the impact of harmful gases on the human body and cultivate good living habits.
